Your house, a Sustainable Construction

Your project can contribute to a goal that is necessary for everyone.

You can decide the degree of commitment and sustainability with the construction of your modular home. It is easier than you think. We all want to have one energy efficient house, sustainable financing model in which to live without it being a burden, but a saving aid and lastly and most importantly, healthy for you and your family.

You can bet on a future where construction and respect for the environment go hand in hand.  HOW direct aspects your house will contribute with the commitment to sustainability?

In our mission to offer sustainable prefabricated homes, we prioritize technology and the use of efficient and recycled materials. In addition, our R&D Department investigates bioconstruction projects,  that, in the present and in the future, contribute to the quality and efficiency of each project.

Acquisition of wood certified by organizations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for the manufacture of wooden components.

Use of recycled concrete manufactured with certified low-emission cements or industrial hemp mixtures

Optimization of logistics and recycling of materials.

We continue to advance in bioconstruction, focusing on energy efficiency, quality control, traceability and non-polluting materials. Currently, we actively participate in three research projects about prefabrication low energy consumption homes.

CDTI Project

Development of new biocomposite construction material from industrial hemp waste and geopolymeric matrix, for the manufacture of innovative modular construction products, whose objective is promote technological development, innovation and research in the sector.

Project MarginUp!

It seeks to promote climate-resistant crops and promote biodiversity on marginal lands, generating economic and environmental benefits in Extremadura. The project extends to five regions of the EU. In Spain, Modular Home leads the production of concrete panels with bioconstruction materials.

PIT project

Obtaining new alternative construction materials, lighter than traditional ones, with characteristics applicable to the different components of modular homes with products manufactured from waste from industrial hemp production.

The reality in building towards a more sustainable future

At Modular Home, each phase of the construction of your new home is designed to be a step towards a greener and more sustainable future. We want you to feel part of this journey and understand how every decision we make contributes to caring for the environment. Join us in this story and discover how your choice will positively impact our planet.

1. local consumption

Choosing to build your MH home means supporting the local economy, with materials and supplies that reduce the carbon footprint and promote the talent of your community. We use materials and supplies, which not only reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation, but also values the talent and capabilities of your environment. In this way, your home becomes a symbol of social commitment.

2. RENEWABLE ENERGY

Our goal is to build homes that respect the environment and reduce environmental impact. To achieve this, we use renewable energies such as solar and wind, LED lighting and smart air conditioning systems. From the manufacturing stage, your home will be designed to promote sustainability and protect the environment, meeting the most demanding standards.

3. BIM technology

BIM technology revolutionizes the way we build. With its precision, we reduce errors and avoid costly modifications. This translates into more efficient use of resources, waste minimization and a smaller environmental footprint. Your home will not only be of high quality, but also a model of efficiency and sustainability.

4. CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

We opt for eco-efficient materials, prioritizing sustainable and certified options. Technology and research have been our growth benchmark. Therefore, in 2030, we will inaugurate the Hemp Technology Center (CTC), marking a milestone in our dedication to environmental sustainability.

5. Every route counts

We optimize our transportation routes to reduce emissions and minimize our carbon footprint. We promote sustainable shipping practices by consolidating loads and selecting efficient transportation, ensuring that each stage in the distribution of your home reflects our commitment to sustainability.

6. Waste management

Waste management is key in our process. We use specific containers and encourage the reuse of waste both on the construction site and in the factory. We also evaluate external recyclable materials to ensure that our environmental impact is increasingly lower.

7. Home insulation

Insulating your home not only increases comfort, but also significantly reduces energy expenditure, carbon footprint and pollution, contributing to savings and the well-being of the planet.

8. Efficient air conditioning systems

Your home will have innovative air conditioning systems. These systems reduce dependence on fossil fuels and carbon emissions, providing a greener and more efficient way to keep your home at the ideal temperature all year round, as well as significantly reducing your bills.

9. recyclability of homes

We are committed to increasing the recyclability of our homes to reach 60%. Each component and material is carefully evaluated to guarantee that your home is a key piece in the circular economy.

FAQ

We answer the most common questions about prefabricated houses.

Why is a Modular Home modular house sustainable?

Our modular concrete system is designed for high energy efficiency, with well-insulated building envelopes, adequate ventilation, and efficient climate control systems. Furthermore, modular construction generates less on-site waste, as most of the work is done in a factory. This is an environmental advantage.

What differentiates Modular Home from traditional construction in terms of sustainability?

Unlike traditional construction, our industrialized process reduces weather-related disruptions, waste, and construction time. Furthermore, the home's design can be optimized for efficiency (orientation, insulation, and installations), resulting in a more efficient home from the outset.

What eco-friendly technologies can be integrated into Modular Home housing?

Aerothermal systems can be installed for heating, domestic hot water, and cooling; these systems are highly efficient and sustainable. Solar panels can also be integrated. “Modular Solar” for solar energy solutions and even energy autonomy.

Does the concrete used contain recycled or lower-impact components?

At Modular Home, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our homes. Therefore, we source raw materials from leading companies that prioritize sustainability and always comply with current technical regulations. Modular Home also has its own Sustainability Plan. Learn more at "Modular Home's Sustainability Plan 2024-2020".

How much energy can a Modular Home save compared to a traditional one?

Thanks to our construction system, insulation, and airtightness testing, we can achieve energy savings of between 40% and 65% compared to traditional construction. These savings depend on factors such as the house's orientation, the insulation used, the quality of the glazing, and the use of renewable energy sources like aerothermal or solar systems. At Modular Home, we ensure the use of high-efficiency materials so that every home is sustainable, economical, and comfortable year-round.

Does the industrialized process reduce waste on construction sites?

Yes. At Modular Home, thanks to our factory manufacturing, we can control and minimize waste from the very beginning. This includes saving on materials, concrete waste, and unnecessary transport. Each panel is produced with industrial precision, significantly reducing waste compared to traditional construction. For us, this approach not only improves the sustainability of each project but also optimizes construction time and ensures a cleaner, more efficient building environment.
